Summary:
We were asked to create a 'pouffe', a simple seating element, expressing 'aggressiveness'.
In order to find a suitable material for our 'aggressive pouffe' we conducted a survey, from which we linked certain material properties to the abstract feeling of 'aggressiveness'.
One material that contains the material properties required to portray aggressiveness, Hardness, Roughness, and Heaviness, is concrete. For this project we decided to go for concrete bricks as building elements.
Through means of applied aggression the bricks were altered, slapped together with cement, and finally topped with a brushed steel plate.
